q: Where does steel modular start competing with wood modular?

a: On our original module design, the structure is made of red iron. With this type of module, it starts competing with wood modular on buildings 4 storeys or more.

However, we have designed a module that is made out of cold-formed steel with no red iron. This type of module will compete with wood modular on buildings 1 – 4 storeys.

When considering which material to choose – wood or steel – take care to consider value as well as price. Steel modules are non-combustible, produce less waste during construction, and can result in reduced insurance rates.
